More info:

Ah, Crackle! Records. How much of my money have they had over the years? Anyhow, this is a sampler, including some exclusive tracks, from one of Britain's finest labels, mostly showing the more melodic side of punk from the UK and elsewhere. (They also have a highly-rated distro covering many more genres). Unfortunately most of the groups no longer exist or are on indefinite leave of absence, but many of their members are still playing music and Crackle have released or sell records by those new bands.

The J Church song is from their one and only single on the label. Other highlights include Chopper, leading lights of the '90s UK scene, and the related bands Donfisher (better than Chopper but only survived for one single) and One Car Pile-Up (still around). And seeing as Tony's a friend I must also mention his (also now split) band, the mighty Dagobah - who now look nothing like the very ancient and embarrassing photo in the booklet.
