Correspondent Derek Fricano found this cassette
through an advert in Maximum Rock'n'Roll. "It
came out (I think) back in 1993 or 1994 ... it's a xerox/blank tape
job of (presumably) Gilman Street soundboard bites." The tracklist
is reproduced exactly as per the the tape. |

24 August 1997, a sunny late Sunday afternoon at one of Britain's
biggest music festivals. Bush and Marilyn Manson are taking their
turn on the main stage, but in a large side-tent J Church are setting
up their own gear, despite the army of roadies, and play to an enthusiastic
crowd. Unfortunately this recording misses both Lance's self-effacing
intro - "Hi, we're J Church from San Francisco and we have
no idea why we're here" - and the opening couple of lines from
Smell It Rot. The sound quality is a little fuzzy
but pretty good overall. |
